Description
This video course is a review of numerous pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic principles that may affect patient care. I focused on the most common principles that have an impact on the clinical care of patients. Pharmacodynamic terms and examples include agonists, antagonists, mechanism of action, and receptor selectivity. Pharmacokinetic terms and examples include; half-life, absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination. As a bonus, I've included some basics on physiological changes in the elderly that may affect the way medications interact with the body.
